Sarah works to create uniquely individual designs and products for gift and homeware. Her hand sewn and highly embellished designs give a luxurious and aesthetically pleasing element to her work.
The finished designs are not only functional products but also treasured pieces of art work. Using a wide range of quality fabrics, she utilises hand dying techniques to create desired fabric colours in preparation for the embroidery and embellishments to be applied.
Hand embroidery is her specialism and the key feature of every design. Sarah also incorporates the techniques of silk screen printing, layering, appliqué, and she is known for her use of Swarovski Crystals to give that extra touch of sparkle.
Sarah Ford's main inspirations come from 'Haute Couture' design, florals, foliage, nature, jewellery and symmetric patterns.
